Today at 3:30pm, I wanted to buy 2 cakes for my birthday , 1 Medium Zulu chocolate cake at $50 and 1 small Larme raspberry cake at $40, totalling $90. Both prices were displayed for those cakes. At the register, I was about to pay and the lady informed me that the price for the larme was $44. I showed her the display price and she said again that it is not $40 but $44. She was very unfriendly and rude. She didn’t want to make any gesture to honour the display price! This is again misleading the customer! Finally I left without buying any of those cakes. That’s a very disappointing service and management should quickly train some of their staff for a better service and check displayed prices!! Pastries/Cakes are usually great there, but this bad experience may stop us from going there again!

Firstly this is not about price guarantee but price displayed! Most of businesses, even small would match the price displayed for the product. Human error yes we understand, but the least your staff could do was to honour this price and correct this mistake later on, especially for a $4 reduction over a $90 purchase!

Staff is not friendly and rather quite rude. Our group waited some time so that we all were together to enjoy a good dessert. The place was empty and we were the only table. It turned out that when we where about to order, a very rude staff member came to us and gave us a lecture on controlling our kid and how he was supposedly destroying the place! Unbelievable. Arguably he was just running around like any three year old would (no harm done in the process), and had taken some sugar sugar satchels and had taken one or two (the business was going to go broke apparently over that). Definitely don't see that as destroying the place. Didn't had a chance of course to order food cause we left. Food may be good, but how can u enjoy that if the service is that bad?

I ordered a cake online. It looked nice shinny marble style looking cake on website. But then it turn out a "honeycomb looking" cake with lots of hole when I picked it up. (As shown on photo) I requested to change another one but all the staff (4 staff include the chef) insisted that it is the one and refused to do anything. Even the chef said it's normal to look like that!! Also the staff just took it in n out to show to their colleagues, finally they damaged all the edge of my cake and just repack it and pass to me. What a service !?

Thank you for your answer. My comments were not for the products as I said, but the service, & how rude/cold and unfriendly the lady was!

I have been here 3 times now and each time has never failed to impress. The food is devine, friendly staff who really care about their customer’s satisfaction and a beautiful atmosphere. It’s one thing to have a delicious place to eat but even better when the service is so lovely. Their almond croissants are perfection and if you’re looking to find a cake for a special occasion, these guys have you covered.

If you're looking for delicious cakes look no further. Hidden gem in Waterloo! Only a few things on the menu, but it's something for everyone. Great for mums with prams as there is heaps of room between tables. Lots of magazines to read. Staff always friendly. Good coffee too
